Welcome to HockeyLife HK

It’s never too late to learn something new!

From private lessons, after-school programs, to working with various sports clubs and associations, HockeyLife HK aims to promote and expand the sport of hockey in Hong Kong and beyond; Inline Hockey specialist.

The Hockey Life Path

The first step is to learn how to skate! Being able to maneuver on skates is the most important fundamental for playing hockey - the following programs will allow students to master the ABCs of skating: Agility, Balance, Coordination, Speed.

Inline Skating

Beginner

The beginner’s inline skating course is suitable for students who have never laced up a pair of skates before. Upon completion of this course, students are expected to be familiar with all the safety equipment and procedures, as well as understanding the motor skills to freely navigate around a flat surface on inline skates.

Inline Skating

Intermediate

Designed or students with basic inline skating experience, the intermediate course will unlock a new set of skills to move in more expressive ways, as well as skate on different types of terrain. Upon completion of the course, students are expected to comfortably skate in different directions and navigate through challenging terrain.

Inline Skating

Advanced

The advanced curriculum focuses on building upon established skating skills and dissecting each movement for more efficiency and power. This course is best suited for Ice-Hockey/ Inline-Hockey players who want to master their edgework and boost their presence on the rink.

The Next Step

Inline Hockey was created as an alternative to Ice Hockey during the warmer seasons when ice was not easily accessible. Over the years, Inline Hockey has developed into its own sport and culture; many professional Ice-Hockey players train on wheels to get more puck touches and skating time.
Inline Hockey

Beginner

Students in the course must have either completed the Intermediate Inline Skating Course or been approved by the coach (based on skating ability). Upon completion of this course, students are expected to be familiar with all safety equipment and procedures, the rules of the game, as well as the motor skills to engage in friendly matches.

Inline Hockey

Intermediate

Students in this course are expected to have the necessary motor skills to be comfortable in a friendly-competitive environment. Their existing skills will be continually practiced, while learning strategies and subtleties of the game.

Inline Hockey

Advanced

This course is for more serious hockey players who are interested in playing in fast-paced competitive environments. Enrolled students will engage in drills and exercises that may challenge their comfort zone, but will reap benefits in their performance.

Team Development

Ball hockey and Floorball are excellent alternatives to their ice and roller counterparts. While benefiting from a shallower learning curve and the simplicity in sport equipment, all of the physical skills are directly transferable between these sports!
